Mrs. Gloria Goddard

The family of Gloria Goddard, 77, of Gilmer will receive friends at her home 8513 Groundhog Rd. Gilmer, TX 75644 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday June 19, 2016. She was a much loved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Gloria went home to be with the Lord June 12, 2016. Gloria was preceded in death by her father John Baptiste Gagne, her mother Mable Gagne, brothers Richard “Reggie” Gagne, Gary Gagne, Albert Gagne, and sister Barbara Gagne. She is survived by her siblings Roy Gagne, Gail Gagne, Ferella Gagne, Peggy Gagne, Anita Gagne, Laura Gagne-Lemieux, Linda Gagne, Wynola Gagne, John Gagne, Deena Gagne, and Donna Gagne-Leduc (all still in various places in Canada), husband Tom, 3 sons Barry Goddard, Tim Goddard (Tami Goddard), Darren Goddard (April Goddard), 3 daughters Connie Goddard-Weisenberger (Scott Weisenberger), Linda Goddard-Conrado (Alan Conrado), and Jenna Goddard-Burroughs (Aaron Burroughs), 17 grandchildren - Dawn Goddard, Tyler Weisenberger, Jaden Weisenberger, Heather Wykoff (Brad Wykoff), Holly Speelmon (Mike Speelmon), TJ Goddard (Katie Goddard), Tommy Goddard (Maggie Goddard), Tiffani Goddard, Tori Goddard, Tessa Goddard, Sage Goddard, Cpl. Austin Goddard, Gage Goddard, Braeden Goddard, Parker Goddard, Sophie Burroughs, and Levi Burroughs, and 5 great-grandchildren - Ashton Goddard, Presley Goddard, Teonte Bailey, Caelyn Craddock, and Jax Wykoff, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gloria was a firecracker in every sense of the word. She was small but was larger than life. She was born in Montreal, Quebec Canada and lived and traveled all over the world. She loved being outside whether it was camping or working in the yard, painting, golfing, dancing, reading, and listening to music with a glass of wine. A lot of time during she and Tom’s 56 years of marriage were spent pulling a camper all over Canada and the States. Her favorite places were Seven Islands, Quebec Canada, Fernie, British Columbia Canada, the Black Hills of SD, and the Big Horns of WY. She and Tom loved their camping adventures and spending time together. One of her favorite places she lived was Mudgee, Australia. While there, she learned to play golf, shopped with her dear friends, and loved spending Christmas on the beach. Golfing became one of her favorite things to do. She continued to golf for years after coming back to the States. There were many, many great hours spent on the golf course with Tom and friends. Out of all her travels, her most treasured place to be was in her porch watching her birds and looking at all of her gardens. She loved working out in her flower gardens, planting new plants and bushes every year, and if she would run out of room in one garden, she would have Tom make a new one and she would fill it up as well. She could make anything grow in the land of the cottages. Gloria loved spending time watching her kids and grandkids do whatever it was they had going on at the time. Whether it was skating, running, riding bikes (both with and without motors), basketball, baseball, football, and tennis. She may not have always understood the concept, but was always their biggest fan. Gloria was a great wife and wonderful mother. She was our firecracker, full of spark and beauty. This isn’t goodbye, it’s until we meet again....
