Memorial services for Kimberly Dawn Wall, 65, of Gilmer, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in the chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home, with Brother Charles Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Kimberly Dawn “Kim” Wall was born on May 15, 1961, in Gladewater, Texas, to G.B. Waller and Annabell Wilson Waller. She passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, in Longview, Texas, surrounded by her children and family. If you knew Kim, chances are she knew you too. Kim devoted 32 years of service to Gilmer National Bank, and she became a familiar face to generations of customers and coworkers. Starting out in the bank’s new Motor Bank and later serving as Executive Assistant to the President, Kim built countless friendships along the way, and her warm spirit, dedication, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone she met. A lifelong fan of Texas Rangers baseball, Kim found joy in helping others and rarely put her own needs before those of family, friends, or strangers. She had a servant’s heart and a selfless nature that defined her life. Whether preparing a favorite family meal, tending to her beloved collection of plants, or simply sharing time with those she loved, Kim found happiness in bringing joy to others. She had a deep appreciation for nature and was an avid bird watcher who could always tell you where the moon was in the sky. Fascinated by weather, she was affectionately known as the family’s amateur meteorologist. Her cheerful outlook, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life were gifts to all who knew her. Of all the blessings in her life, none were more precious to Kim than her children and grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in being the best mother and “MeMe” she could be. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support will remain in their hearts forever. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Aaron and Jill Loftis, Cameron and Kayla McDowell, Landon and Allison McDowell, and Lucas and Lauren McDowell; siblings, Melvin and Nadra Smith, David and Linda Waller, Kevin and Kylie Farmer; grandchildren, Matthew and Peyton Loftis, Levin and George McDowell, and Kastor McDowell.
