William "Billy" Joseph Stanley

Funeral Services for William “Billy” Joseph Stanley will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at McWhorter Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, on Tuesday at the funeral home. William “Billy” Joseph Stanley, 47, of Gilmer, Texas went to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior and his son, Hayden, on January 24, 2025. Billy was born on August 3, 1977, in Porter, Texas to Lloyd and Gail Stanley. In 1992, Billy and Nicole met and later started dating. Nicole knew then he wasn’t like any other, because he loved her with everything he had and she loved him back in return with everything in her. They married on June 22, 1997, and had four amazing children, Andrea, Payton, Jayson, and Hayden. They also gained a wonderful son-in-law, Brian, and two grandchildren. They also had many kids in the community who called them mom and dad. Billy and Nicole shared an amazing 32 years of life together. Billy worked in the management field for years. In 2000, he decided to become an HVAC Technician, and he attended Lindsey Cooper Refrigeration. In 2010, Billy and Nicole opened A/C Works Heating and Air. Billy was dedicated to the Lord, his family, his friends, his business, and his love for fishing. He was an amazing man, if you knew him you knew he was a man of his word. Billy lived one of the best lives here on this earth and left an impact on everyone he met. A conversation with Billy usually led to an invitation to many fishing trips with him. May his love for his family, friends, clients, work ethic, and the hobbies he shared with them never fade or be forgotten. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nicole Stanley; daughter, Andrea Moore (Brian); sons, Payton Stanley, and Jayson Stanley; grandchildren, Rylee Rhodes and Ryver Moore; mother-in-law, Carol Hill; siblings, Randy Stanley, Mike Stanley, Cindy Williams, Lorrie Stanley, David Stanley, Tim Stanley and Robert Shields; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Gail Stanley; son, Hayden Cole Stanley in 2023; sister, Elizabeth O’Con; father-in-law, Robbie Hill; grandmother, Jean Thomas; and his aunt, Katherine Latham. Pallbearers will be Cody Green, Payton Stanley, Brian Moore, Nic Coleman, Riley Henson, Juston Davis, Colby Corbin, Micah Langford, Noe Hernandez, Dalan Hill, and Chris Aslin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jayson Stanley, Randy Stanley, Tim Stanley, Mike Stanley, Chuck Davis, Douga Davis, Robert Shields, Ricky Taff, Shane Myers, Lawrence Tefteller, and Danny Spencer.
