Eugene Hensley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Eugene Hensley, 75, of Gilmer, will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at McWhorter Funeral Home with Bro. Madison Caffey officiating. Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday, September 28, 2020. Eugene was born November 6, 1944 to Clifford and Ora Mae Swaner Hensley in Murphy, Texas and passed from this life September 25, 2020 surrounded by his family. He married Johnnie Sue Warren, May 25, 1968, and he lived in Gilmer his entire adult life. Eugene proudly served our country in the United States Army on active duty in Vietnam. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Johnnie Hensley; son, Michael and Angel Hensley; daughter, Kim and Randy Nash; brothers, Dennis Hensley, Jimmy Hensley and Donald Hensley; grandchildren, Zac and Chelsey Hensley, Kailey and Dillon Altman, Kaya Hensley, Andrew Hensley, Ryan and Cody Lowery-Mathis and Corbin Nash; great grandchildren, Layla Hensley and Noah Altman. He is preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Ernest, Bobby, Margaret, Oneida, Shirley and Erma. Pallbearers will be Terry Hensley, Kevin Hensley, Tim Gatton, Danny Warren, Victor Harper and Jerry Calender.
