Graveside Services for Jan McCombs Ellis, 78, of Gilmer, will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, April 11, 2022, at Beech Creek Cemetery with Brother John Wilke officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McWhorter Funeral Home. Jan was born December 15, 1943, to Wayne and Carolyn Carlton McCombs in Tarrant County, Texas and passed from this life, April 8, 2022, in Gilmer, Texas. She was an operator for Diagnostic Clinic of Longview for 25 years before her retirement. Jan was a member of First United Methodist Church, Gilmer. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tracy Oller; niece, Nina Marie McCombs Hix; grandchildren, Josh Smiddy, Brent Reynolds, Carolyne “Becky” Snider, Kassie Shaw, Meagan Oller, Haley Oller, Sammie Jo Miller, Madeline Oller; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne W. Ellis in 1981; son, Quint “Bubba” Ellis; brother, Jeff McCombs; and her great grandson, Alex Shaw.
