Jerry Edward "Buddy" Miller

January 24, 1940 - December 14, 2021

Jerry “Buddy” Edward Miller of Brackettville, Texas passed away on December 14, 2021 at Peterson Regional Hospital in Kerrville, Texas at the age of 81. He was born on January 24, 1940 in Upshur County, Texas to John Calvin Miller and Connie (Gaston) Miller. Buddy served 4 years in the US Navy and 16 years in the US Air Force. He was a disabled decorated Vietnam Veteran and earned the Bronze Star. He is survived by his wife, Alma Jean (Edwards) Miller; three sons, Jerry Edward Miller Jr., Roy Calvin Miller and Charles Lynn Miller (all three veterans of US armed forces), their wives, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and eight brothers. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Graveside service at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County Texas will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 24th, 2022 under the direction of McWhorter Funeral Home of Gilmer, Texas.
