Gilmer- Services for L D Hurt Jr, 83, of Grand Saline will be held 2 P.M. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Rosewood Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Johnson Officiating. McWhorter Funeral Home is in charge of services. LD was born on January 19, 1932 to Leck and Alice Amos Hurt in Oklahoma City, OK. He passed from this life December 15, 2015 in Tyler. Mr. Hurt was a retired driller for Delta Drilling and an avid cat fisherman. He is survived by his children; Sandy Dean, Danny Hurt, Trent Hurt, Kevin Hurt, and Kollin Hurt. Step children; Ray Chandler, Anita Voyles, Dennis Chandler, Vincent Chandler, and Michael Chandler. Brother, Andy Hurt and sister; Jane Hurt Roberson. 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Hurt is preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children; Cherrye Henry Hurt; wife, Betty Morris Hurt, brother; Rex Hurt, and sister; Robbie Lynn Weems.
